welcome finlay!

Welcome to the world, Finlay Campbell Babbage!

It seems so recently that I was allowed to announce that he was on the away. Yet at 3:15pm New Zealand time today, while we were still peacefully sleeping here in Wimbledon, Finlay was born. He was 6lb 13oz, but knowing his father Fin's probably already consumed his body weight and will be rapidly heading for that six foot mark. We haven't met the li'l tyke yet (we're working on it...) but right now I couldn't be a prouder uncle, in the abstract like. It's a new world!

And for the record, let me hereby state publically I was the first person to make the Tim-Fin joke—quite some time ago... Just for you to refer back to, Fin, when it is considered so old, and you're wondering where it all started when it was fresh and new.  : )
